Not only are the authentic Norwegian recipes excellent, but the photography in this beautiful cookbook is stunning. Photographs of Norwegian countryside and luscious dishes frequently appear throughout the cookbook, with a beautiful photo for many of the recipes. The book was composed by Arne Brimi with all photography by Bengt Wilson. It was written in Norway in 1987 with recipes that feature fresh natural ingredients, lots of regional game, and gorgeous color pictures that illustrate the wonderful recipes. It is 143 pages in length, measures 10 inches in height, 8.5 inches in width, and is approximately 1/2 inch thick. This cookbook was purchased at an estate sale. It is in good vintage condition and does not look like it was ever used. The front and back covers are intact - still glossy- with some very minor age-related scuffing and wear. The inside cover page has been torn out (see photo) - possibly due to an inscription, etc. The page was blank so this does not affect the quality or content of the book and is only noticeable due to the ragged edge of the tear and remaining scraps of the torn page. There is some slight puckering / waving at the base of some of the pages (you can see it in one of the photos). Does not affect quality of the book or the print - likely from kitchen humidity through the years when sitting on a shelf. The binding is in good condition and all pages are secure - none are loose. The pages are clean - no spots, stains, tears, or printing. See photos for additional details.
