Description: This piece is based on a Blackmoor European (Venice) 18th century wall shelf.It appears to be a vintage reproduction of one. It is made of some sort of OLD plasticene.A synthetic organic polymer - Not Clay. I do not think it is fiberglass. It is hollow in some places with wood for support. The shelf is some sort of old particle board which I think dates this item in the 1950's. The top shelves on the older ones are much more ornate. The unit is hand painted in red, green and gold with stripes and floral elements. It is nicely done and has the appearance of an 18th century item. What kind of gives it away is the wall attachments in the back. The shelf measures 22" H x 13.25" W x 8.5" D and weighs 10 lb's There is some wear on the top of the shelf, and it appearss some paint was touched up but not badly. This is a very unique item, certain to draw up conversation. Attaches to wall with 2 screws (hangs on the screws from the back)
