Made in the 1950s, the popular Allegro or Adrian decal RY-194 pattern is a great classic Mid Century design & pattern for tableware. Classic atomic retro design that is truly elegant and timeless!Designed by Don Schreckengost, Rhythm was a plain round coupe shape line of dinnerware developed in the spring of 1950. Rhythm was put into production on September 25, 1950, and was made with decals and in five solid colors: burgundy, chartreuse, forest green, gray, and Harlequin yellow. Solid colored Rhythm was part of the general trade and was carried by many retailers. The official treatment number for Rhythm in solid-colored glazes as sold by F. W. Woolworth was W-551. Rhythm flatware was sometimes paired with hollowware from other shapes to create new lines. Made in the USA, Lot includes (1) 9" serving vegetable nappy / salad / dish bowl (excellent condition) (4) 10” dinner plates, (very good to excellent condition) (4) 7" side/bread plates, (very good to excellent condition) (4) 1-1/4” tall x 5-1/4” fruit/sauce/dessert bowls, (very good condition) (4) 6” saucer plates, (excellent condition)(4) 5" diameter, 2 1/8" height tea cups (good to very good condition) (1) 13" oval serving platter tray (very good condition) Condition: In good to very good or excellent preowned used vintage condition. Almost all of the pieces have no cracks, chips, or crazing. Only one of the tea cups has a dry foot bottom chip that is small and only visible if the piece is turned upside down. Some of the pieces have some minor utensil scratches throughout from use, though not much - this set appears little used. Overall these pieces are very good considering the age and use. Pieces may have factory production imperfections such as sand bumps, glaze skips, glaze pops, etc - little to no issues with these pieces. See all pictures.
