I sprayed it with Lysol inside and out, let it sit for awhile, then washed it with soap and water, rinsed and towel dried it. At the time this was removed, it was from a house in WI on the Mississippi River that had not seen the light of day for 7+ years, and, before that was visited maybe once every few years.
