Vintage 60s Ceramic Egrets Birds Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting Atomic Era

Description: ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceramic table lamp. Circa '60s. The lamp base is an avocado green with inscribed tan egrets of different sizes over the back and front surfaces (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain of the designer / manufacturer - there are no labels or tags present. There is no harp and no shade - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 17.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket) x 7" wide x 5" deep (at its deepest point at the base). The base measured from the underside of the lamp is approx. 5.25" x 7". CONDITION: The lamp is in very good condition with the exception of one minor flaw. There appears to be a very small, flat surface chip to the glaze by the upper-left egret's leg on the front side of the lamp (see photo). It is barely noticeable, but it is there, and we are mentioning it for accuracy. Next to that is a faint surface scratch as well - not major, but pointing it out. Aside from that, the lamp is in terrific shape - no breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring is old, and appears to be original to the lamp. While it does work perfectly fine, we'd recommend replacing it for safety. We always suggest having vintage lighting examined by a professional electrician prior to long-term use.
