Vintage 9 1/2 L 33" Extra Dark RHT Stockings Flat Knit Lt. Gray 474 Needle

These are actually a Light Gray but the RHT is very dark like the photo shows. 474 Needle stockings are much more slippery feeling than a 400 needle stocking or a Full Fashion 51 - 15 stocking. To make a stocking on a 474 needle machine was very expensive as the amount of perfect stockings to be produced were much less than the 400 needle stocking. I have been in the Hosiery business for many years and I know you will not find a stockings which is more slippery feeling as these any where in the world. There was only one stocking I know of that compares to these and that was the KAYSER Model 4498. These are still in their original sealed box if you purchase 2 pairs If you purchase only 1 pair it will be with a new board and tissue paper. Stockings in the photos were used for the photo only then discarded. We do not sell used item's of any kind. Stockings on the model were a different brand but the stockings on this sale look identical we just did not have a model for these. The stockings laying flat are the stockings for sale. Box is marked 9 1/2 M but I measured the stockings and they are a true 9 1/2 L stocking; From top of welt to bottom of heel is 33+" From back of heel to tip of reinforced toe is 10" These will fit a woman who wears a size 6 to a size 7 1/2 shoe and has a medium width leg including the thigh. For a heavier thigh I would recommend the Flat knit Triumph Stockings sold on the Alexis4u web site. They are more expensive than these but they are also a 474 needle stocking. More Slippery than a 400 needle stockings but not a slippery as these.
