The book describes the individual satellites and how they made it into space with both first and second stage propulsion rockets. The book is surprisingly advanced for a children's book. It was dedicated "to today's youngsters-the spacemen of tomorrow." The illustrator of the book is a famous illustrator of children's books and studied with Andy Warhol during art school.
