Vintage African (likely Nigeria Hausa Tribe) 9" woven coil grass basket, bowl

Description: h Item Description g This is a vintage, medium-sized African woven/coiled grass basket/bowl. Online research indicates that it is likely a basked produced by the Hausa Tribe in Nigeria. It was sourced among older items at an estate sale. It was a display item and shows its age due to light exposure that has faded the colors on the top of the bowl. You can see from the photos of the bottom of the basket that the colored dyes are still bright, for example. This fading and the basket's inclusion with other vintage items at the estate sale make me comfortable in listing this item as vintage. These are my best efforts to identify and date this basket but are not 100% guaranteed. The basket is about 9" in diameter and 2 3/4" deep. I ship my items in boxes that a little oversized to allow for more bubble wrap.
