Description: This is an American Character "Toodles" baby doll from 1955 and in wonderful condition. I acquired her from someone that said it was in her mom's collection and put up in the top of the closet for many years. I believe she is in her original outfit with the original hang tag that came with her on her wrist. (I am not sure if it's the original string that is attached to the tag...it does have some creasing/wear). I did add the pink bow as it looks so cute on her head. When I purchased her she had a sticky feel to her body, so I gently wiped her down and was able to remove it. I did not try and remove her original plastic panties to see if there was any stickiness underneath them as well. I was too afraid that I would make a mistake and end up tearing them. She does have her squeaker in her back, and it does work! Apparently, this doll is very posable...It says in the description, on the internet, that she has a thousand different poses, go figure. As you can see in the pics, she does have some paint loss to her molded brown hair. There might be light stain here or there on her body, however, I did not want to use any harsh chemicals to wipe her down with. I am not an expert by any means on this doll, but I can tell you, if I were to keep her in my collection I would say that she is in near mint condition...and I am a very picky collector! (I am not sure if this Doll came with baby booties on her feet...they were not with her when I purchased her). This Toodles doll would make a wonderful addition to any vintage doll collection! I am only an avid doll collector, so please ask any specific questions you would have about this doll before purchase. I do have a second Toodles doll that has, what I believe, is synthetic hair? She is not in as nice of condition and is re-dressed in a vintage outfit. As soon as I can find a box to fit her for shipping I will be listing her as well. This doll would make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone!
