Description: Vintage American Lock padlock, Model # 95. This lock is from the mid 1960's to the early 1970's. It is brand new and has never been used. NOS, New Old Stock. The dimensions of the lock is as follows: 1-1/4" wide body5/32" thick hardened steel shackle5/8" shackle clearance Despite the smaller size, the key cylinder is a full 5 pin tumbler which is rare in padlocks of this size. Like all American padlocks, the shackle is locked by dual steel ball bearings which resist pulling and prying. The lock body is pained solid zinc. As such, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections in the paint coating which is considered to be normal. The key cylinder and accompanying keys are solid brass. The keys are original and say "American USA" on one side and "Junkunc Bros" on the other side. The key code number is stamped on each key. Junkunc Bros was the original manufacturer and was purchased by Master Lock in the 1990's. The original vintage box for each lock is included as well as the paper key code/instruction card. The box does have writing on it (see photo) This is a great opportunity to pick up a vintage padlocks for your collection.....or put the lock to work securing your property.
