Description: Vintage Art Deco German Amber Pendant 835 Sterling Silver Here we have an absolutely stunning vintage all natural Amber stone pendant. Made in Germany. Hallmarked on the back "835" for 835 sterling silver also known as European silver. It also has a fish Hallmark. This fish shaped hallmark was used by the Fischlandschmuck Company. This was part of the original Georg Kramer Company; producing de Real Fischland jewelry in Ribnitz Damgarten Germany. Founded in 1771 it was renamed in 1939 to Fischland GmbH. This silversmith based his vintage designs on various maritime motifs such as fish, whale and starfish. The village of Ribnitz Damgarten was an old fishing village, and it inspired a lot of their creative silver pieces. This silver maker produced most often Amber gemstones with silver. The piece measure at 2" x 1 1/4". The large Amber stone has beautiful color and clarity, with the silver art deco styling making this a piece that truly stands out. It is in lovely vintage condition, with no issues noted. Natural patina from time.
