Vintage Asian handcrafted Water Buffalo Horn dragon phoenix design, wood base

Description: For sale is a vintage Asian buffalo horn with hand carved designs of a dragon & a phoenix. It stands on a wood base. It has red glass insert eyes on the dragon and phoenix. It is about 15.25" tall, about 6" deep and 4" wide. The (outside) length of the (curved) horn, from base to the tip of the horn is about 18.25". It's larger than most similar items offered for sale. It is in excellent condition. You'll appreciate the quality craftsmanship of this hand decorated artwork, made by cutting into the surface with a blade to create a raise pattern on the hard outer layer of the horn to display the design, with a polished background. It had been displayed for a brief period after it was purchased during one of my trips to the Far East in the late 1970's. It has been in storage since. The photos are of the actual item.
