Description: Vintage Asian Carved Chess Pieces with Folding Board Figures are stamped HONG KONG on the bottom. I am not sure what the pieces are actually made of but they are beautifully carved and I don't believe they are wood or plastic. Kings are 3 3/4" tall, pawns are 1 1/2"Board is 14 1/2" square One white knight has a broken flag. There are some cracks in the board top, but they won't affect play. Elastic holding figures is loose and a couple of the swivels to hold the "lids" on are broken. This item was donated and is being sold to benefit Beautiful U, a non-profit, Christian maternity program serving the needs of at-risk pregnant teens and homeless single moms and children.
