Description: Amazing large believed to be Rosewood hand carved Demon Mask from Bali, Indonesia. One of many great Wood Carvings from an Illinois Estate. The carving is superb, very detailed. A verocious Demon! Wire hanger on back. Centerpiece comes loose. Size: 14" high with centerpiece or 11 1/8" x 8 1/4" wide x 4 1/2' deep. Weighs 2 3/4 lbs. Condition: Great. From a Smoke Free home. The Barong is a mythical Beast that purifies and protects the village. The Mask is a sacred object of worship and usually kept in a temple.
