Description: Charming vintage framed under glass mid-century 1950s color print of a pair of Galah parrot on branches - measures about 13-1/2" tall by 11-3/4" wide. Also known as the pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo, birds are found throughout Australia. Housed in the original wood embossed 'bamboo" frame with original matte, image is unsigned, but was done by J. Gould - I'm assuming the actually signature in underneath the bottom of the image. Condition is lovely with no damage other than a hint of display wear - there is a fishing line on the back for hanging. This belonged to my Grandmother - I can remember it from the 1950s, so dating it to then. A charming print in lovely pastel tones - wonderful addition to any mid-century modern collection or parrot print display! If questions, please contact me, thanks!
