Description: A lovely large tapestry measuring approximately 34 x 33 inches. It is clearly a batik print. This leads me to the belief that this is probably the work of Ami (or sometimes spelled Ahmi) Goldfarb. Not certain...but it certainly tracks. Just a lovely composition and it sings with the spirit of Israeli art. This appears to depict the night before Jesus was taken, when he bathes the feet of all his disciples, even Judas. I do not know if there are any pictorial clues to determine which apostle this is. This seems to be a rarity, probably because it is quite vintage. If I had to guess I would say late 1970s. There is a stitched narrow tunnel at the top to slide a support like a wire or wood rod should you choose to display it that way.
