Description: For sale is a vintage battery operated WESTERN locomotive train made of tin from Modern Toys Japan. This classic toy features a train theme and is ideal for collectors of pre-1970 toys. The toy is in partially working condition and has not been modified. It is suitable for ages 4 and up and is a great addition to any toy collection. Train graphics are very good but has some corrosion on one side. Front end wiggles a bit by design. Displays well on the shelf. Train is about 12" long. Battery compartment is clean - Train has been tested and the whistle blows when the activated by hand. I took the boiler cover off to activate the mechanism for the horn. The motor runs for the movement, but the piece underneath does not engage. Could be used for parts or could be fixed.
