THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Benrus Watch Company c.1963 Model: 25 Jewel 3 Star 7001 Series Condition: This is a vintage men's Benrus 3 Star automatic wristwatch coming to you for parts or restoration. It does appear to run however, it is being sold as a non-running watch for restoration. I only mention running to let you know the balance assembly is good and it won't need a balance staff. The date wheel is working and flips just before 12 at around 11.58 however, it was stuck when I first tested the watch. The gold plating is decent however, it has the wear around the lugs and the sharp edges like you would expect most of these have. The gold is in the movement. As you can see, the movement looks fairly clean with no signs of moisture damage. The 25 jewel ETA 2472 is the power house here and shows 2472 but no stamp for ETA. This would be the same movement used in many higher end divers, including Benrus' Ultra Deep. The watch is all original and priced accordingly for the movement only, the case, dial and hands are just along for the ride!
