Description: Vintage B&L Ray Ban Navy Blue/Green/White Arcadia Ski Sport Sunglasses + Case True vintage B&L Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb USA Arcadia sport sunglasses circa 1970’s. Made in USA. Unisex. See measurements below. A true classic that never goes out of style. Both sporty and preppy. New and never worn, but have imperfections from 50+ years of storage as noted in description below and shown in photos. Includes case upgrade to a new vintage RayBan Bausch & Lomb Impact Resistant black vinyl snap case. It features an impressed logo front and center, single secure coated metal snap, protective plastic nose rest inside, and optional belt slits in back. Please note that colors may differ slightly in real life due to differences in device/monitor settings and lighting conditions. Frame is primarily navy blue in color. Photos are of the exact pair you will receive. I use photo layouts to show max number of angles, but only 1 pair is being sold in this listing. RayBan Bausch & Lomb dark green gray G15 mineral glass lenses. The lenses are pre-B&L etching, non-prescription and ready for wear with 100% UV protection. There may be some (short and light) hairline scratches to lenses from storage, but none of note were observed upon inspection. Retro cool acetate/nylon frame features 4 layers of coordinating hues. The face frame is a dark navy blue, as are the temples. A white color is then introduced and can be seen peeking out from under the blue at the sides, along the top and bottom of the frame and at the nose bridge. A kelly / grass green tone is up next and creates the center top portion of the temples as well. The last layer, closest to the wearer’s face, is a the same navy blue as the front of the frame and temples. There are areas of frame color imperfection where the navy blue layer closest to the wearer’s face appears burgundy - above the right lens near the hinge and above the nose bridge area. See photos. A raised Ray-Ban logo emblem adorns each temple in silver tone metal. The inside of the right temple is impressed with B&L Ray-Ban U.S.A. The inside of the left temple is impressed with ARCADIA. Temples appear level and evenly curved. There are hairline scratches to the acetate frame, including nose bridge area and temples, from storage. Temples have been hand polished. Hinges operate well and all metal parts been hand polished with a precious metals polishing cloth. Screws are removable. No corrosion or rusting observed. The face frame and temples can be heated up and adjusted by an optician for the perfect fit. I always recommend seeing a pro for a custom fitting - we’re all different and it can make a huge difference in the fit, comfort, and appearance. These are differentiated enough to get noticed (and compliments) and neutral enough to go with most any outfit and complement most any skin tone and hair color. Approximate measurements: Frame Length: 140mm Frame Height: 54mm Hinge to Hinge: 130mm Temple Length: 135mm Lens Height: 50mm Lens Width: 58mm measured horizontally Lens Width: 62mm measured diagonally IMPORTANT PLEASE READ Fit: I recommend a custom fitting with an optician, optometrist, or other equivalent. The temples can be heated up to provide you with an optimal, customized fit. Lenses can also be replaced with prescription lenses. Do not attempt to make adjustments on your own! If done improperly you can cause irreparable damage. I don’t take returns and especially cannot be of assistance if any adjustments (professional or otherwise) have been made or attempted. Cleaning and Care: I recommend using a hard or semi-hard case for storage and optimal protection. Rinse glasses with cool water if they become dusty and allow them to dry before cleaning with a soft microfiber cloth and lens cleaner. Never clean with a dry cloth alone. Do not leave sunglasses in direct sunlight and/or extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, such as a car glovebox. Hinges and emblems may be polished with a silver polishing cloth. They may be lubricated with WD-40 if needed. Condition: These are vintage sunglasses and my family has been the only owner. They are not perfect. Do not expect perfection or you will be disappointed. They are 50+ years old and are in excellent vintage condition. They have never been worn. They almost certainly need a proper fitting by an eye specialist. Condition is subjective and based on my personal expertise, but is still an option on nonetheless. Evaluation of condition takes into consideration the condition of a given pair relative to others of the same or similar model, from the same time period and brand.
