Please view my Ebay store if you have a moment - I gladly combine items for shipping. This listing is for a vintage set of Japanese coasters: It is a sphere shape container and it's really neat. I was tempted to keep it but I can't keep everything I like. It is stamped Made in Japan on the base and each coaster is stamped JapanIt stands just under 4" tall and" in diameter.There are 6 coasters so this is complete.Each coaster features a different seascape but has the same two sailboats. My favorite show Mt Fuji in the background. The coasters are about 3 1/8" in diameter.The container does have some light wear and a crack (see photos of the crack on the outside and inside) but it's still very structurally sound and displays well. It has good shine and just needs a light cleaning. The coasters are very shiny and are pretty much like new except for needing a light cleaning as you can see in the photos (you can see the shine and that they need a light cleaning).This may not have been used, if it was it was used very little. I'd say it dates to somewhere around the 1940-1950s or so. If I find a more accurate date I'll update this post. Thank you very much for looking.
