Description: Very Good used condition. The super shiny bright yellow brass shows normal signs of wear for an item of this age, including light scratches and marks visible on the lid. This beautiful wood handle has the look and feel of olive wood, is firmly attached, and does not rotate. The hinge is very well-made, sturdy and holds the lid open quite nicely, but is still easy to close with one finger should you choose to put this tool to use. I couldn't find any comps with any real information, so you're getting my observations after inspecting the piece. It's pretty cool. As a reminder, these items are not new, and may not be in perfect condition. I photograph and/or mention any imperfections in my listings, however, sometimes I do miss things. I do not scrub items to clean, as I leave most restoration to the buyer. That way, you'll be as gentle or harsh as you feel is safe for your piece.
