Vintage Breezer Mountain Bike Tandem-

Description: Vintage Breezer Panoramic Mountain Bike Tandem- One of a Kind! Condition is "Used". The only Breezer Mountain Bike Tandem! The legendary Joe Breeze designed it for the 1993 model year. Ibis Cycles built this sample frame in 1992, for catalog photos and to show at Interbike. But the tandem never went into production. Joe put the sample on consignment at Tony Tom's A Bicycle Odyssey in Sausalito, where my friend and I purchased it and built it as you see here (one exception is we dumped the Magura hydrolic brakes for the XTs. If you don't know Joe- he has a bike in the Smithsonian permanent collection. Please look him up! This bike has been ridden, not hidden away. It had a rust issue where the rear seat tube meets the bottom bracket- (an issue with the Ibis build, not Joe's design)- this has been fixed by another legend- Rob English. Rob fixed this to make it roadworthy, he didn't finish it off with his customary perfection. But it's very, very solid now. The paint is in great condition, but there is wear and tear here and there. One of the photos shows Rob working on the rear seat tube. The bike has always been cared for by Marin County wrench Tim Brennan, with the exception of a tune up or two by Mike at Black Mountain Bicycles in Pt. Reyes.
