Description: The Buddy L pressed steel Tow truck is another item recently removed from a long and gentle storage. It dates back to the 1960's. The truck remains in very good condition, as seen in the above photos. It measures approximately 14 3/4 inches in length. A vibrant blue, it maintains a fantastic amount of original paint. It shows a great gloss. All 4 'Buddy L' tires are intact. It is missing a spare tire that would have mounted to the driver side of the vehicle. The vibrant red flasher on the roof is intact and without any cracks. A special battery pack, used underneath, would light it up. Sadly, we did not find the pack with the truck. Both side windows, rear window and windshield are present. The windshield shows a small crack, as pictured above. It is an inner crack because it can't be felt on the outer surface. The rear window has one that is similar but much smaller. The passenger side of the vehicle shows some areas of light rust, also pictured above. The driver side, however, shows very little. The tow lift mechanism is still in working order. I don't believe the 'S' hook is original to the toy. The underneath is super clean. 'Patents Applied For' is stamped into the steel.It still displays extremely well. A vintage and nostalgic Buddy L piece.
