Description: This exquisite vintage box is a true representation of Canadian Ojibwa Indian culture. Handmade with Burch bark, sweet grass and porcupine quills. it features a unique design that showcases the tribe's heritage. It a 5" oval by 2.5" tall coveted hand woven box. The top has a beaver and maple leaf done in porcupine quils., Unfortunately some of the porcupine quills are missing, (see picture) if you are crafty porcupine quills are available very inexpensively on Amazon, great restoration project. It is evident that it has been crafted with care and attention to detail. It is stamped Canada on the bottom and something else but it is smeared. The box is perfect for storing small items and will add a touch of elegance to any collection. Its tribal affiliation is with the Ojibaw, and it is a great addition for collectors of Native American artifacts.
