Description: This listing is for a vintage embossing stamp for the “King Sheep Company”. Circumstantial evidence suggests this stamp belonged to the King Sheep Company (1900’s-1920’s) established in Laramie, Wyoming. The King Brothers conducted business at the Ogden Stockyards and had associations with the sheep ranching industry around Salt Lake City, Utah. I found this embossing stamp in Ogden, Utah. It is very likely this embossing stamp is linked to early ranching history in both Wyoming and Utah. There is normal wear and patina associated with this vintage stamp. It is made of cast iron and the stamp plates appear to be bronze. It weighs about 5 pounds. Background props in photos not included.
