Description: The title of this charming Cathleen Engelsen print is "Tuckerton Railroad Station" and it is numbered 66/600, signed by Cathleen Engelsen, artist. The signature and numbering are original, written in pencil by the artist; it is not dated. Cathleen Engelsen is a renowned New Jersey artist and an Ocean County, New Jersey native. She is noted throughout the state for her historical paintings. I do not know the exact age of this piece, other than it was originally painted sometime between 1970 - 1989. I estimate sometime in the late 1970s - early 1980s based on similar prints and her work around that time on a series of commissioned historical paintings for regional New Jersey townships. This wonderful print was part of an estate. It has been beautifully framed with an outer pale green matte,inset with an avocado green matte (see photos for detail). It is framed with an understated solid light colored wood frame with a natural finish. It measures about 15.5 inches tall and is 17.5 inches wide (framed), a nice medium size that will work in many spaces. The print is in very good condition - no stains, spots, holes or tears. The matting is in great condition with no spots, holes, cracks or tears. The frame has some very minor age-related scuffing, consistent with age, but is also in good condition (see photos). The glass is in good condition - no chips or cracks. The hanging bracket and wire are secure and sturdy. See photos for more details.
