It is made of ceramic and porcelain, features one compartment and is perfect for serving any sauce or butter. Produced in Japan most likely in early 1930’s or earlier.The red back stamp was used sometime after 1928 and ceased use by 1942. This original piece is part of the Chikaramachi Noritake Lustreware line and is a great representation of the 1920-1949 time period. This small dish is not only functional but also adds a touch of elegance to any lusterware collection.
