Description: 1. Not sure when this carriage was made but it is old. Original or not it is a great piece of craftsmanship. 2. The wicker workmanship is unbelievable. Obviously handmade 3. There is some separation visible on the wheels but it is due to the outer bands of the wheels are metal rings and the rest of the material is wood. The wood portion has shrunk somewhat due to age. 4. The padding is in good condition with no tears but one side does have some stains. 5. The parasol or umbrella is in great condition with no tears or rips. 6. The wheels are held in place on the spindle with old paper clips. Don’t know what happened to the original retaining clips. 7. Ideal piece for a collector of this type of memorabilia.
