Description: This is a cool vintage (antique?) Chinese inkstone! It measures 4 3/4" X 7" and was hand carved out of rock; it is a dark grey color with spots of very pale olive green. Its perimeter has carved figures (tree branches, birds, and flowers.)Please check all of my pics carefully to see all detail!CONDITION: I don't know its age---could be antique but at least vintage! The stone has all its original seams, nicks, cracks, and chips on the perimeter and the back; the design was artfully carved around these rough edges--the large gouge on the left side has carved marks incorporating it (gouge) into the design. There are a few faint seams or original cracks that are also part of the rock's original makeup.I don't know what type of stone it's made from but it's heavy for its size!
