Description: Vintage Christie Black Barbie Doll Spain Face In Best Buy C332G Pink Dress RARE Here’s a black Mattel doll with the Spain face sculpt from the 1980s. Based on my research she’s either Sunsational Malibu Christie or Black Fun Time Barbie. Both dolls were made in the 1980s. The reason I’m not sure is this doll has the blue eyeshadow like Fun Time Barbie but when I got her only one ear was pierced by her original owner. Fun Time Barbie had pierced ears. So she could be Malibu Christie with an unusual eyeshadow variation or Fun Time Barbie without pierced ears. In any case she’s really rare. Black Barbie was usually made with the Steffie face and bent arms in the 80s and Christie usually had curly hair. The doll is wearing the Best Buy #C332G dress (also extremely rare). She comes with two pairs of shoes, pink open toe and white pumps from the Little Extras fashion pack #9121, again quite rare. Christie/Barbie has some flaws. I restored her to the best of my ability but she has some green marks on her legs. These are from metal joints inside the legs. Her arms are scratched. She has a non-factory dimple on her chin. Someone ate her toes. Her hair is very nice, however, and her outfit covers most of her issues. I’m including the closed toe shoes so you can cover up her toes if you prefer. Since one ear was pierced I went ahead and pierced the other one and gave her earrings. This is such an unusual doll her flaws can be overlooked. She displays beautifully dressed in her pink gown, which is in very good vintage condition. Don’t hesitate to add this prize to your collection!
