Description: Vintage gray wool felt, hand blocked, top hat, Ascot style. 'English Manufacture Christy's of London' stamped in gold color on inside of brim. 'Carswell, Renfield Street, Glasgow' printed in black on hat liner and includes the Latin 'Otium Cum Dignitate', which means 'leisure with dignity'. Three initials stamped in gold color, unknown name. Hat in very good condition, please note some moth damage on the underside of the brim as shown on one of the photographs. Most likely 1940's.
