Description: Vintage COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE CIB Sterling US Army Rifle Post Pin WW II World War II A genuine US Army Combat Infantryman's badge, made of sterling and featuring a twin post pin design. Something no military collection should be without, we have a genuine World War II era Combat Infantryman's badge. Marked with the stamp 'sterling' on the back, this pin features the original two post configuration. It has the original rifled musket on the front set over a blue background. The Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) is the U.S. Army combat service recognition decoration awarded to soldiers—enlisted men and officers (commissioned and warrant) holding colonel rank or below, who personally fought in active ground combat while an assigned member of either an infantry or a Special Forces unit, of brigade size or smaller, any time after 6 December 1941. This standard CIB measures 3 inches wide and is 1 inch tall. It weighs just 0.7 ounces. This badge dates from the 1940s, and has the wear one would expect with an item of this type. The back has a name scratched in it, though this adds a personal touch to this original WWII item. The posts on the back of the pin are in solid and in good order, and this pin is ready to be worn. For military collectors and reinactors alike, this original CIB is a great find! Check out the HUGE selection of items in our eBay store, just click here! NY
