Description: These cards were manufactured by the DLM Learning Company in the 1970s or 1980s. They are intended for use in vocabulary development. Cards are divided into six categories: furniture, clothes, toys, food, vehicles and animals, with four items in each category. Tabbed cards present 6-7 questions on the “whole” item and 5-6 questions on the parts. Each card has a line drawn picture of the item, its name printed in upper case, and a list of picture sentences. Cards are useful for teaching vocabulary (naming), functions, categorization, critical thinking, parts/whole and much more. Could be used to generate sentences, as well as to practice writing these sentences. Homeschoolers or English Language Learners might benefit from use of these materials. Cards are printed in black on heavy stock ivory paper, and measure 8 1/2”x 11”. Everything fits nicely in the sturdy box. Cards are in great condition, with no marks, tears, bends or other damage. From a smoke free, pet free home.
