Description: This dobro model 45 with the Pat.1896484 had been well played early in its life then stashed away without strings. this appears to be mid to late 29 or early 1930, The details of this model 45 not barring its serial number or logo yet. At this stage the headstock being narrow and the slots now having a round entrance, before the dot at the 17 and the original trapeze bar. The two tone burst on top back and headstock top.also this is shortly after the rotating the the plate holes from clock position.There is painted on bind on to and back. This is Very solid and straight, good frets, flat fretboard, the burst finish is faded from sun and sweat as the metal also showing signs of this. This is a very sweet playing and sounding instrument and an excellent example example of the earliest built dobro model 45. Please share any questions.
