Description: Vintage Dressel 1144 Railroad Lantern New York Central System Clear Glass Globe This vintage Dressel kerosene lantern comes with an instruction sheet for the No. 1144 as shown in the photos. We estimate that it was made after 1940 as there is no patent date on the bottom of the lamp. Features:-The top is stamped with the maker's name, "Dressel", and manufacture location, "Arlington, N.J.", as well as "N.Y.C.S." for New York Central System. -The glass globe is clear and etched with a "K". -The fount (inner fuel canister) is removable, comes with an old wick, and is also stamped with the maker's name and location. -The clasp is rusted and tight but the hinge opens and functions properly.
