Description: Up for sale is a vintage " Elgin National Watch Factory Building 1930 ☆ Postcard ". It is unposted and in excellent condition. Photo courtesy of the Elgin Area Historical Society and sponsored by the Elgin, Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. The postcard is 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall. It is a shame that this magnificent building was demolished back in 1966. I think it is fair to say that it was one of the most iconic buildings ever built in the United States of America. Both my grandmother and father worked there for a while. The number of employees peaked during World War II to around 5,500. Email with any questions. Thanks for looking and check my other listings for more unique treasures!
