Vintage Everex StepNote SE (Intel Pentium @ 133 MHz, 32 MB RAM, Win98SE, 2.1 GB)

Description: This auction is for a vintage Everex StepNote SE laptop. This laptop was tested to power on and boot into Windows 98 Second Edition. Per our security policy, all personal data and documents have been purged. The battery no longer holds a charge but an OEM AC adapter is included. Cosmetic wise: The laptop does show signs of wear. The lid has some marks and what looks like the remains of a sticker near the top of the lid. There are some white specks in and around the lid and Everex logo. The palm rest has some white specks near the touchpad and mouse buttons. The keyboard shows signs of wear. The bottom chassis is in good condition with some minor scuffs and scrapes. The rear I/O panel cover is missing. All of the rubber support feet are intact. Performance wise: The laptop performs pretty averagely for it's age. It would probably benefit from a RAM or HDD upgrade. After warming up, the laptop will run smoothly. Performance drops are to be expected with vintage hardware and software. NOTE: The laptop's internal CMOS battery is dead. Certain BIOS settings such as the date/time will be lost if the laptop loses power. The Save to Disk partition is no longer on the HDD.
