Vintage Fisher-Price Musical Nativity Set, 21 Pc., Little People, A Treasure!

Description: This is the original Fisher-Price Nativity set that plays "Away in a Manger" when the angel is placed on top of the stable! The star lights up, as well! This feature is battery-operated by 3 AA batteries. I just put in 3 brand new ones, and it still operates perfectly! I will be glad to include the batteries so it is ready to use when the Buyer opens the box! There are. 21 pieces in the set: the stable, Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the 3 Wise Men, the angel, a shepherd, a donkey, a camel, a cow, 2 sheep, a pig, a black and white cat, a donkey cart with rolling wheels that the donkey can pull, a load of fruit and wheat for the cart, the manger with removable hay, a palm tree with attached wall that can connect to the stable, if desired. This set has been gently used over the years at Christmastime. We purchased this set in 2002, if I am not mistaken. It has been well taken care of and is in pristine condition. No observable damages or flaws. We no longer have the box though This is such a wonderful way for the youngest of the family to experience the magic of that very first Christmas, without fear of breaking anything! I love those sturdy Little People!!! It is magical for the grown-ups, as well, to listen to children retelling the Christmas story in their own words while playing with this set! This is one of our family treasures, but we no longer have young children in our family to enjoy it, and I would love for another family and another generation to be able to make it one of their annual traditions! I am sooo glad that it still operates as well as it did when new! The stable measures approx. 11"w by 4"d by 6"h without the angel atop, and it weighs 19.70 oz. The remaining pieces together weigh 18.60 oz. Entire set weight is 2 lbs., 6.3 oz.
