Description: You get one Civil war era set of flintlock pan and frizen. Luck of the draw. Some are slightly different than others. Antique Flint Lock Flash Pan Cast Brass & Frizen from Civil War Conversions. I don't know what rifle they were take off of. These were purchased from an old time gun smith in Boulder Colorado of all places. He did not know the original rifle either but said he had them for 50 years. One Set of pan and Frizen. The Facing or Frizen is part of pan cover, or frizzen, which strikes fire from the flint. Flash Pan: This small pan holds the priming powder. When the flint strikes the frizzen, sparks are created and fall into the flash pan, igniting the powder. Good condition. Honest wear and the light rust and grime one would expect from something 160+- years old.
