Description: Charming set of two vintage Quimper bread plates handpainted at the famous Grande Maison factory in France. One plate has the classic Breton woman flanked by greenery in the center with red and blue flower sprays and blue banding around the rim. The other plate is the same except with a Breton man in the center. The male plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The female plate has two small chips and a linear defect in the rim (see two pictures). Dimensions: 6 1/8" dia. x 7/8" High. Late 1980s-90s.
