Description: Vintage French Watercolor, Signed, Sacré Cœur Basilica, Montmartre, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church, Paris, 1947 This vintage French watercolor shows the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre as seen looking north from the rue Laffitte in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, one of the more well known views of the basilica. Cars and pedestrians can be seen in the street lined with shops and at the end is the handsome Neoclassic style church of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. The watercolor is signed “L. Guillory” and dated “Août 47”. Framed, matted and under glass, this piece is in very good condition with the exception of normal signs of age and a small loss on the corner of the frame.
