Description: Giuseppe Armani was a renowned Italian sculptor and artist. Born in 1935 he died in 2006. From an early age he was recognized as a gifted artist. Giuseppe attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and became well known from his artwork at the Art Gallery in Pisa.In 1973 he associated with the Florence Sculture d'Arte in Tuscany. Armani's works are known worldwide for their detail, life, and colors.Handcrafted in Italy by Giuseppe Armani, this beautiful vintage figurine depicts a seated beautiful lady wearing a peasant dress, a wide brimmed hat, and holding a basket of red apples. Made with a great attention to detail, the figurine is mounted on a wooded base with a dark stain and measures approximately 10 1/2 inches wide, 5 inches deep and 9 1/2 inches high. The figurine and base are in excellent condition with what appears to be some very minor, virtually unnoticeable, chips to the upper brim of her hat. The figurine has the G. Armani signature mark on the front bottom (pic. 13) and the Capodimonte mark on the lower back (pic. 14).
