Description: Vintage Great - 1950s - Stetson - Whippet style (wide bound brim edge) - Beaver Ten 10 - Pinched Crown Fedora. This measures right between a 6-7/8 and size 7. This could be stretched to a size 7, read below. It’s perfectly shaped! It’s a real looker! That wide bound edge really stands!The underside picture is the best representation of the actual color of this hat. This Whippet style fedora has near the same dimensions of the Labelled Whippet Fedora that Dad and I have. We took down one of Dad’s Stetson 1950s Whippet Fedoras and this has nearly the same measurements as Dad’s Stetson Whippet but this has a slightly narrower 2.3 inch wide brim.You can see that this is a 1950s because it has a thin plastic overlay on the liner.This was cleaned and shaped by my grandson and dad! This looks great with a perfect pinched crown and that dip in the front!NOTE: there is NO hat box in the sale. This box is in terrible condition! There were 2 fedoras inside, so there aren’t even hat holding inserts inside, beside being broken. You can always find these listed here on eBay.The beaver is very very soft and thick. We took out dad’s collection of 1950 Stetson Beaver hat, 3X 10X, 15X, 20X and the TwentyFive. This best matches a 10X Beaver. This was a higher quality everyday hat that could be an everyday hat. This measures to a 6-7/8+ at We use the 1970s with the Tilley hat sizing chart, still in use today. This could be stretched to a 7 though, that’s 22 inches. Dad says that the maximum stretch though. It’s will take a $14 Amazon hat stretcher or any hat stretcher will do and time and patience. It’s a slow process.A perfect 6-7/8 is 21-5/8 inches and a perfect size 7 is 22 inches. This is right between the two hat sizes but could easily be stretched with any inexpensive hat stretcher. Many of our buyers are using the Amazon $15 hat stretcher.
