USED. Previously owned. Adequately maintained. Dry storage. • Item’s Background - Retired Engineer Collector's Estate Sale Item, Pasadena, Ca. Said to have been acquired on an antiquing trip to the Yorkshire area of England several decades ago. Subsequently held in attic storage. • Working Condition – Excellent. This balance scale is fully functional and performs exactly as originally intended. (See weight Calibration Testing Table, below.) • Cosmetic Condition – Shows Well. Original paint. Very little wear or marring, pitting, corrosion or significant rust. All the parts are there including a collection of weights. The weights, originally cast iron, had been painted gold for rust prevention, sanitary, and aesthetic reasons. The high-capacity pan is pressed aluminum and may or may not be Viking original. There is a tiny-tinny nearly imperceptible chip in the cast iron that does not affect its functioning or appearance.
