Description: This is a guaranteed old toy iron. This one has been heavily reproduced. The difference is easy to spot, the new ones have a smooth neck the old ones have a lump on the neck. The lump is from the casting gate where the iron was poured into the mold for making the iron. Most of the casting gate iron would be removed but most times there is the small spot left behind. One of the photos is an excerpt from the June 1993 “Reproduction News” magazine offering more detail on this subject. It is 2 3/4 inches long. Return will be accepted if it is not as described.
