Description: Vintage Haiti Voodoo or Vodou Sequin Altar Bottle with top and a gold colored religious coin which I believe is made of aluminium. I found the coin in the bottle. Libation bottles are used as devotional altar pieces in Haiti to honor the particular lwa (a god, spirit, genius) in a Vodou temple. Candles or lamps would be used to light the room. The beads and sequins covering the bottle would shimmer off the light thereby attracting the attention of the loa inviting them to the service. Dazzling in color and imagery, they can also be placed in a special spot in your home as a unique piece of spiritual art. Item is wine bottle size.
