Description: I bought this from the estate of its' original owner. It appears to be in good original condition, not abused or physically damaged. I connected it to a variac where I slowly brought up the current from 30 volts to about 100 volts over 40 minutes or so. I didn't connect it to any kind of antenna but I did get reception on the AM band, and a little bit on another band, I can't remember which. The tuning dial cords are broken so I had to turn the tuning capacitors by hand inside the cabinet. the strings and springs are inside the cabinet, as can be seen in the photos.
