Description: What an extremely elegant and unique vintage couture gown by the late, great Hanae Mori.As such, there is no size tag, but the measurements are below. Whoever it was made for must have been quite tall, based on the length. Ideally, I think it would look best on someone nearly 6' tall, so it would hit around mid-calf. Fashioned of heavy silk crepe and fully lined (also in silk), with attached shoulder pads. I don't know the exact vintage but my guess would be from the 1990s or possibly late 80s. It is in perfect condition, as far as I can see, and has obviously been beautifully cared for. There is ruching over the midriff section which gives the affect of an obi, especially with the beautiful kimono sleeves, and extends over approximately 11 inches. There is a 12" slit which extends from the right hem. The front of the neckline is slightly higher than the back of the neckline. The zipper extends over 21" in the back.
