Description: Henriot Quimper Hand Painted Porcelain Plate La Gavotte Dutch CoupleThe is a unique plate in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I could find no other example of this particular Quimper plate on the web, so maybe it's rare. La Gavotte is a French dance, taking its name from a folk dance of the Gavot, the people of the Pays de Gap region of Dauphiné in the southeast of France. The plate's glaze is crackled. It has the Qiumper name on the back and three spots that are a little rough where is was placed on a stand in a kiln. It/s 9 1/4" in diameter. See Pics.
