Vintage Herbert Terry 1208 Wall Lamp with Wall Bracket in Black ~ Anglepoise

Description: Rust and Rot ~ Purveyors of wonderful things. Welcome to the sale of this useful wall lamp. Designed by George Carwardine for Anglepoise and manufactured by Herbert Terry and Sons, this is an early 1208 / 1209 (I never have quite worked out the difference) model lamp dating from the 1930's or 40's. This particular lamp comes in black with a large wall mounting bracket. It has a new chromed switched bulb holder and has been rewired with three meters of modern fabric cable that has been earthed to the frame and fitted with a new 3a plug. This is an early version with a earth bolt to the back of the main brass block. In very good condition commensurate with its age and use. The lamp measures approx one meter overall with each arm 50cm in length, the shade is 14cm diameter. It weighs 1.6kg I offer free delivery on many of our items, however delivery shown is for the UK mainland only.
